Hi loves! This was my yummy lunch today. I’ll probably get some hate mail for posting about eating this (gasp... yes I eat pasta!) As this account is getting more followers, more people seem to feel the need to let me know that they don’t like how I approach IF. That I shouldn’t “treat myself” or that I really need to count macros or calories or eat Paleo or keto otherwise I’m doing this wrong. To ME (remember, this is just my opinion as this is my journey) IF is FREEDOM. Freedom from dieting, freedom from calorie counting, freedom from binging and hating myself. And guess what? I’ve stuck with it for over a year AND hit my goal weight. So obviously it works for me. And I know it’s meant freedom to a lot of others on here as well. Most days, I do eat a lot of whole, healthy food. But other days, I eat carb loaded deliciousness in my 3 hour eating window. And that’s ok too. So, please no more negative comments telling me or others we are doing this wrong. I have come to a realization. I am no longer willing to accept a life of mediocrity. I feel as though, up until this point, I have floated along, hitting mile markers in life that have been set by my expectations of life as it, “should be.” I have two bachelor’s degrees, and a master’s degree. I have a well-paying job and a nice, spacious house. I have two children, and two animal children (dog and cat). Along with these accomplishments I have a large amount of student debt, a large waistline, and a small sense of self-worth. 
I feel embarrassed that I didn’t go further in my education, and that I don’t make more money. I ballooned to a whopping 285 pounds and feel as though I have no self-control and never will. I have an overwhelming sense of being, “not good enough,” and being, “unable, and unworthy, to attain greatness.” I have felt less-than-adequate as a student, in my career, as a mother, as a wife, as a friend, as a homeowner, and as a member of society. I feel as though I have tried, and failed, to set goals, lose, weight, become wealthy, and increase my knowledge. I have a constant stream of negative self talk circulating through my head during every minute of every day, a constant reminder that I haven’t followed through on my dreams and goals. But, I am not these thoughts. 
I am a woman unwilling to continue settling for mediocrity. I am unwilling to continue merely existing. I have not yet reached my full potential. I am a strong woman who is fully capable, and willing, to put in the work to strive for change. I may have setbacks, or roadblocks, in my journey, but I will continue to strive for constant improvement because I AM RELENTLESS. This is my journey to self-acceptance, and the transformation of my mindset, physique, health, and finances. My intention is to document this journey, and to inspire others to live their lives relentlessly.

I'm trying to teach my kids to eat healthy without them getting fanatic about food - noone really thought me that as a kid, and it took me years to learn - overnight bread is a favourite - my kids aren't big fans of breakfast but they have a long day in school, so I try to make them something both healthy and delicious in order to get them to eat a bit I the mornings, and then I give them some healthy before lunch snacks to eat during their breaks ️

My cousin has taught me so much over the years but one thing I really need to thank her for is introducing me to plant based/vegan food and really that whole lifestyle. I did it, goal 1 . It happened a couple weeks ago but I've been busy . Here are some things I've learned:
1. IT IS SO HARD just never give up!!!! seriously, it's difficult and challenging but you'll get there if you just keep going. I mean I'd rather learn 2 languages while taking a full college course load.. oh wait.. I will be.. #ripme 
2. You don't need to cut carbs, just live in a caloric deficit. If you try to take away my carbs I may murder you... 🤷‍️ #sorrynotsorry
3. Form the habit of recording all your calories. Even when you're not going to like the number.
4. Don't let people tell you that you can't reward yourself with food. Seriously, I looked forward to my weekend treat everytime! 
5. Sometimes creating a healthy relationship with food means being able to say yes to a donut or chocolate bar without collapsing to the floor and crying because you feel like a fat failure.
6. Some weeks are harder than others. It's ok. Sometimes you'll gain 2 pounds others you'll lose 3. Life and your body aren't perfect. Learn to be ok with that.
7. Be kind to yourself. If you wouldn't say it to your friends don't say it to yourself. 
8. Just because it worked for them doesn't mean it will work for you.
9. Follow inspiring people who touch on real topics and can be blunt in the nicest ways possible. People like @syattfitness (his posts helped me the most) @nicolesfitnesslife @jenn.kerns @toneitup 
10. Finaly, take this time to learn more about yourself. You're in no rush, it will happen just be patient. I have learned so much more about myself and I really like what I'm learning.

Client from NIGERIA's incredible inch loss in 4 weeks. 
She's on a 40 mins of cardio (walking) plan and very light exercises 6 days a week due to discomforts from being an Asthma patient due to which activities that cause her heart rate to go up or heavy breathing could happen have to be avoided and slowly built up to. 
She is on a 5 meals a day plan with regular oats, fruits for breakfast, plaintains (common Nigerian food item), fish, rice etc. Nothing fancy, all that's easily available to her.

So, it’s Monday again and you haven’t prepared... last week you said that come Monday, you’ll have prepped your meals, got your workout plan sorted, and be up early before work to head to this gym. Instead, you forgot to cook, have no plan, and slept through your alarm. I guess you’ll have to wait til next Monday, right? WRONG

We are all guilty of looking for excuses as to why we can’t start working towards our goals. We need to throw out the concept of Monday being the only acceptable “start day”. Don’t use missing Monday as an excuse to throw the rest of your week away. What can you do from today onwards? Here’s some ideas 
- don’t have time to meal prep until the weekend? That’s ok! But try to make healthier choices when it does come to your meals for the rest of the week.🥗
- So your foods not on point, that doesn’t mean you can’t still get to the gym. If you miss your morning alarm, go in the evening. If you don’t have a training plan to follow, try a class. What matters most is moving your body, whichever way that may be. Something is better than nothing! 
- Get one aspect of your plan set up - whether that be writing up your training program, figuring out your macros, or scheduling in workout time. That way, you don’t have to sort everything out in one go, and you’re one step closer to your goals!

I wish it were true, as going to the gym and choosing a few random exercises on the fly is fun. It’s also not mentally taxing since you don’t have to psyche yourself up for personal records or engage in progressive overload.

Unfortunately, it’s not optimal as doing random workouts doesn’t put increasing amounts of tension on the muscles, which is the key driver of hypertrophy.

This is why your coach likely has you buckling down and performing the same workouts for 3-6 weeks at a time. It’s also why he or she probably doesn’t switch things up drastically every month.

Although it’s not sexy, variations of squats, split squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts, push ups, pull ups, bench press, overhead press, rows, and dips pack the biggest punch and grow your muscles best.

What if your goal is fat loss? Eat at a caloric deficit, consume ample protein, walk a lot, and train the exact same way in the gym so you keep your muscles and lose mostly fat for weight loss. It doesn’t have to be complicated.
