Nothing is off limits is the name of the game! 🥯 • • Got here 2 lunches - a big bowl of creamy pasta salad vs. a big bowl of salad with some noodles in it • • When we eat a big load of (especially refined) carbohydrates, we get a big sugar rush… and

Peach & mozz 🧀 chicken!  So easy & perfect for dinna

Made it with #thatformula 
 2+ cups veg (4 cups arugula)
 4-5 oz protein (one 6oz raw chicken breast - meat cooks down about 25%)
🧀 100-200 calories of fats (2 oz fresh mozzarella)
 Sear chicken on each side for 2 min (heat on really high heat on the stove top with an oil spray). Bake at 400 degrees for ~30 min - flipping over halfway through. Top with 1 oz mozzarella and a few slices peach. Mix the rest of the peach, mozzarella (chopped), arugula, and 2 Tbsp light vinaigrette. I added a Tbsp of that balsamic glaze to the chicken!

Do you like poke bowls?? 🥢 Buying sushi-grade raw fish can be pretty expensive  so try making a poke bowl with smoked salmon instead!

Made this one with #thatformula 
🥒 2+ cups veg (1 1/2 cups cauliflower rice + 1/2 cucumber, sliced)
 4-5 oz protein (4 oz smoked salmon)
🥑 100-200 calories of fats (1/2 avocado - and I added 1 Tbsp sesame seeds and 1 Tbsp sriracha ranch dressing from Trader Joe’s)
 To make the cauliflower rice: stir fry rice with an oil spray until you see browning. Then refrigerate (before eating) to be able to make your poke bowl cold  Add a little low sodium soy sauce if you like!

Frozen meals have been my go-to’s both when I was working my regular 9-5 job AND even now working from home. We. Are. BUSY!! We need food that tastes good AND is healthy AND keeps us on track with our health goals 
•

Finding low carb frozen meals can be a bit of a challenge - many of them are pasta or rice based (I’d definitely prefer to save my starchy food during the day for something else), and are NOT filling! Which is why I was SO HAPPY to find these @AtkinsNutritionals ones 🤩
•

To be 100% clear: Carbohydrates are NOT bad - BUT they do affect you the way sugar would in so many of our foods that we eat all day long. I bet foods you may have not even realized
•
•
This is what @AtkinsNutritionals calls the #HiddenSugar effect - when carbohydrates convert to sugar when digested. You don’t see the sugar, but your body does.. Over time, it takes a toll! Excess carbs in the diet has been shown to lead to weight gain and related diseases like type 2 diabetes

The EASIEST chicken peanut lettuce wraps right here! 🥬

🥬 2+ cups veg (2-4 lettuce wraps + side of 1 chopped cucumber - cukes not shown!)
 4-5 oz protein (5 oz pre-grilled chicken strips - I used the fresh ones in the green package from Trader Joes)
🥜 100-200 calories of fats (2 Tbsp peanut sauce + 1 Tbsp peanuts + 1 Tbsp sesame seeds)
 Chop up the chicken strips & mix with all ingredients besides veg. Add to lettuce wraps and have cukes on the side!

On-the-go lunches are pretty much a necessity during school am I right? Some good on the go foods: 🥚 hard boiled eggs, 🥕 carrots & celery sticks, 🧀 string cheese, 🥜 nuts, and jerky

I don’t typically drink smoothies myself but I get so many requests for them! So here’s a good one you can easily take with you 
•
•
1 raspberry smoothie 🥛
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- ½ cup ice
- 1 Tbsp peanut butter
- Blend well!
•
•
And YES I used real milk in that smoothie 
•
•
Real dairy milk (one of the original farm-to-table foods) is wholesome, affordable, and highly nutritious - a good source of protein with 8 gm of protein per 8 ounces🥛
•

AND milk is only $3.50 per gallon (national average)  It ALSO contains calcium and vitamin D which are hard to find in other foods and beverages. If you haven’t had some regular milk recently, get some next time you’re at the store! #lovewhatsreal #sponsored @milklife

For a long time I equated working ALL the time with success - as in every day allll day, including weekends. Taking time off made me feel so guilty - and if I tried, I’d just think about work the whole time. Sound familiar to anyone? (Make me feel better haha )

Since starting to live with Zak in January my schedule has HAD to change - he doesn’t like it too much if I’m working during dinner and on Saturdays and Sundays :)

Having a stopping point at night & taking SOME time off on the weekend has actually been very helpful. I’m more productive when I’m working and giving my brain time to marinate tricky situations really helps solve problems. I’m 100% not perfect at it - but taking steps in the right direction!

I generally find that the amount of dessert desired per week differs by person - some people want dessert twice a day, others are good twice a week (personally, I like dessert once a day!)

Whatever is true for you is great. Just think realistically about what works for you and your schedule and your taste buds 
•
•
I generally recommend tracking what you’re eating with an app, especially if weight loss is your goal 
•
•
So, if today is a dessert day, scoop out an amount of ice cream, or cookie, or whatever suits your fancy, and just track what you ate. Savor all bites please! No scarfing anything down because dessert’s “forbidden” ‍️ Everything and anything can fit into your meal plan if you want it to  
•
•
A good thing to do could be to track everything you think you’re going to eat in the morning so there are no surprises 
•
•

 4-5 oz protein (1 salmon filet + 1 hard boiled egg - if that’s too much protein for you, nix the egg! There’s more than 5oz of protein in this salad ️)
🥑 100-200 calories fats (1/2 avocado, cut into small pieces)
⏱ Line baking sheet with tin foil & spray with an oil spray. Bake salmon for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Season with salt, pepper, bails & oregano  Mix together with salad ingredients. Dress with 2 Tbsp light balsamic dressing

⏱ Line baking sheet with tin foil & spray with an oil spray. Bake chicken for 30 minutes or until gets to 165 degrees (use a meat thermometer) at 400 degrees. Top with tomatoes & cheese and bake for another 5 minutes! Season with garlic salt & basil

Bringing you Moon Milk today to celebrate! (Remember when your mom used to make you a cup of warm milk before bed?) Moon milk has been said to be an “insomnia-fighter for adults” - it contains the amino acid tryptophan - which can help you relax and feel sleepy!

Adding some rituals before bed, like drinking moon milk made with real dairy milk, can also help your body relax & help you fall asleep

Are you already doing anything before bed like journaling? 1 sentence gratitude journals  are my favorites!

How to make your own moon milk: Start with real dairy milk and add your favorite spices and flavors – like nutmeg or cinnamon, and then get creative with adding edible flowers or herbs

Here’s how I made mine 
🥛 Heat 1 cup 2% regular cow’s milk on the stove top
 While heating, defrost 1/4 cup raspberries in the microwave
🧂 Remove milk from stove top. Add in raspberries and dash of cinnamon (which is loaded with antioxidants)
 Top with small edible flowers if you like!

Real dairy milk (one of the original farm-to-table foods) is wholesome, affordable, and highly nutritious - a good source of protein with 8 gm of protein per 8 ounces🥛 AND milk is only $3.50 per gallon (national average). Research does show that eating a diet proportionately higher in protein & fat vs. carbohydrates is more satiating (for the same amount of calories) - and I’d choose being full over hungry any day

My #1 tip for parties and BBQs is to survey the scene (so you don’t have any “buyer’s remorse”) and choose what is MOST worth it to you!  No filler foods please (foods that you think you should eat bc they’re healthy but you don’t actually like them)

Are you going to a party or BBQ this weekend?  Here are 4 EASY salads 🥗 to bring (& feel good about munching on throughout the party!!)

1. Caprese: Layer fresh mozzarella & tomato slices & drizzle with a balsamic glaze
2. Greek - Combine olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, and onion slices with dashes of basil, oregano, salt & pepper
3. Shrimp, tomato & onion: Dice or shop each ingredient & mix together with dashes of salt & pepper
4. Shredded carrot, cabbage & peanut slaw - mix 2 cups veg with 1/4 cup peanuts and 2 Tbsp peanut sauce. Double or triple if making larger portions!

Real & TRUE cauliflower pizza over here! Made it by

🥦 Slice 1 head cauliflower into thin-ish slices
🥄 Spray a baking sheet with an oil spray
 Bake cauliflower for 20 minutes at 400 degrees
 Flip pieces over & bake for another 5 minutes
🥫 Take out & top with canned, diced tomatoes, shredded mozzarella, olives if you want them & dashes of basil, oregano and garlic salt. Bake for another 5 minutes! Will do a demo in Stories soon!

 4-5 oz protein (1 small 3oz cooked chicken thigh + 1/8 cup blue cheese)
🥑 100-200 calories of fats (1/8 cup roasted, salted sunflower seeds + 1/2 avocado)
🥄 Added in 2 Tbsp fat free vinaigrette! I love the Trader Joe’s one

Using #thatformula as per usual 
🥬 2+ cups veg (1 cup zoodles + 2 cups spinach + 1/2 cup mushrooms)
 4-5 oz protein (1 serving shrimp - I get them frozen, look at what 1 serving is on the package!)
🥄 100-200 calories of fats (1 Tbsp oil - measure it out!)
🥫 Also added 1/2 cup canned beans - beans can be counted as a starch or a protein - just depending on what works for you (e.g. if you’re a vegetarian and need more protein sources!)  I typically count them as a starch, personally. Stir fry all ingredients together (I did the shrimp first, then added the rest) and season with salt & basil!
