Our next #TDC20-backed show (and first in South America), is from Rimon Guimarães (@rimonguimaraes) in Curitiba, Brazil 🇧🇷— the solo show GAMBIARRA, takes place August 15th, and will be simultaneously at Tetra Gallery and at the hub of experiences Coletiza. The initiative brings to public a collection of 90 works from the last 10 years. Drawings and prints are to be seen at @tetragallery and a massive series of paintings, most of them unpublished, will be available at Coletiza.

GAMBIARRA will host a program of events through the period of the exhibition that includes a workshop for kids, concerts, talks and a guided tour with the artist. This way GAMBIARRA positions itself – beyond the notion of an exhibition – as a complex of art practices in which the method is the language itself. The project is made possible through the support of #TDC20 from The Dean Collection, with which the artist has been recently awarded.

Rimon has been active since the 90’s on the urban tissue of cities around the world like Syria, France, Gambia, England, Malasya, Germany, Switzerland, Guatemala and others. His practice is a vehicle for cultural connections crossing fields from music to video through drawing, painting and printing. Known for his large scale murals, Rimon has countless collaborations with the duo Cosmic Boys and the collectives Interluxartelivre and Trombone de Frutas. The artist was been recently awarded with the TDC20, an initiative by The Dean Collection.
